I am not saying that Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman's baby will be the Kwisatz Haderach of geekdom....

...but the chances are better than average!

I'm thrilled and nervous and happy and thrilled again to announce that Amanda Palmer is pregnant. (I took this photo of her yesterday, here in Vancouver.) The baby is due in September. Now we have to figure out where we are going to live...



Anyway... congrats to two of my favorite artists on their impending parenthood. My daughter just turned 15 and so far parenting has has been to most wonderful and terrifying ride of my life.

I can't believe that THE COLD INSIDE is almost over. I am still not sure what me next serial project will be. I am still working on a new NIGHT BLOGGER installment. It, as all my current work, is stretching far beyond my normal 1,000 words per chapter style but I think you'll like what you see when it's done.

DAY OF THE WOMAN reviews the new horror film SPRING. (I really wanna see this one.)

If you're not ride or die for Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, you're missing out. The duo's debut, 2013's RESOLUTION, was one of the most inventive horror films of the year. After watching their sophomore film SPRING, these two prove that they aren't one-hit wonders, and that they are bonafide film making powerhouses. SPRING follows Evan, played by the incredible Lou Taylor Pucci (EVIL DEAD, CARRIERS), retreating to Italy after the mother he's been caring for passes away. While on his trip, he meets Louise (played by the effortlessly gorgeous Nadia Hilker), and is immediately captivated. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Evan, Louise is harboring a secret that is both horrifying and dangerous..
